Good morning america did a segment on BBQ and touted this as the best in the country with my favorite place in the top six, so I give them some credit for well done homework.
I would not say that the BBQ is going to make my top 6 but the building and the staff were superb.
The sides were awesome and they had sweet tea for me.

great bar.
Long tables with less than enough space to accommodate everyone wanting to eat there.
so its time to get cozy with your neighbors.
order by the poundage and they slop it on a lunch style tray covered in wax paper and off to the bar for a bourbon or scotch.
we had the ribs, the pork belly and the pulled pork, with some rolls to sop up the yum.

on the drive between Asheville and VA was this little number.

had great sweet tea and nice staff.

the other patrons were eager to offer advice on what to get and what was the best sides.

I eat BBQ every Thursday because of this place

I give it 6 napkins out of 5.

Return to the place from a few weeks ago.
Super yummers, those ribs just fell off the bone.

This Thursday I had two friends come with me on my weekly excursion into BBQ.

I had to show them the delicious ways of this particular restaurant. Especially since this was the last week in Seattle for a while as I am going to the east coast for 6 weeks.

Double Ds BBQ in Oakland CA

5$.

tax was included.

i had to force a tip on this man.
The menu read like a true southern BBQ, there was more meats to choose from than sides.

This is an Oakland institution.

I say try it if you get the chance.

The meat was a fair. the sides were good. the sauce was nice.

The establishment left a bit to be desired, in the way of seating, like..any. but the fun of ordering out of a little hole in a wrought iron door, made up for sitting at a window sill in the direct sunlight.

No sweet tea.
