I incorporated more machine embroidery in this one.

let me know what you think.

or go to La Conner Washington to see it in a few months.

this project logged over 300 hours on the ole quilt-o-meter.
I am so happy with it, and almost equally happy it's over.

This is a project working with a bay area designer for a bed quilt.

he wanted a famous person on his bed, and with his love of Magritte we designed it to be a bit uncanny.

I wanted the image to show up when viewed on the bed, since most of my work is designed for viewing on the wall.

Here are the three pertinent images:

front:

the whole enchilada:

I think [Hope] it will be my most successful piece when its complete.

Here is the figure in fabric layed out on the driveway:

From roughly the right place to see the image:

As a quilter it seems to me that I should not have to walk around with holes in all my pants.
somehow all my jeans decided to have their knees bust out at the same time. some I have had for 5plus years and some for a matter of months. dunno what that's all about.
I took a whole day and made patches for them. some more interesting than others.
here is one pair that took quite a makeover.

I'll make you some if you want.
