Benji, done at last…long last
this project logged over 300 hours on the ole quilt-o-meter.
I am so happy with it, and almost equally happy it’s over.
This is a project working with a bay area designer for a bed quilt.
he wanted a famous person on his bed, and with his love of Magritte we designed it to be a bit uncanny.
I wanted the image to show up when viewed on the bed, since most of my work is designed for viewing on the wall.

Perfect timing for the 4th of July, a flag Quilt project
I have been wrangling a flag over the past few weeks.
I wanted to unvail it in its doneness but since the timing is so right.
thought i would post a teaser to show what the process has been:
I think its important to note my car for scaler dimension.
[I realize the travesty of laying a flag on the ground, but this flag is far too large to be measured or seen on any floor or surface I know of. it's 20 feet by 30 feet. It was purchased at the goodwill bins and salvaged from being turned into scraps. i think making a flag out of it is a better fate and the few moments on the ground will be made up for as its displayed with pride across the country in all the best museums...[hint hint hint]]
